My World Computer-Aided

Just another (un)personal blog.

From Architects with Love

The design proposal stems from the essentiality of the context and the strong presence of nature that characterises and is reflected in the identity of the architectural object.

We wanted to focus attention on one of the fundamental and often underestimated themes of architectural education, namely the work space intended for creativity and artistic production, paying particular attention to the influence this could have on the psychology of the users of the spaces.

Section of the “niches”

The project is therefore intended to reflect the result of a personal investigation into what were the shortcomings during the academic course and is therefore intended to represent a proposal aimed at improving standards in education.

The school, the main body, aims to create a scale and hierarchy in the architectural management of the spaces from a human and psychological point of view, trying to bring the private and individual dimension into focus.

Light Study

On the other hand, the division of spaces in the plot represents a metaphor for the intersection of technical knowledge, creativity and social life, the skills that allow an architect to express himself and be successful.

The project plot was therefore divided into four parts, each intended for different functions. The stretch of water in front of the school hopes to create an evocative space capable of attracting and encouraging social interaction.

The pavilion, on the other hand, is an austere space with essential forms, aimed at technical learning and knowledge of materials, as well as the creation of physical models or their display.

Masterplan

It consists of two volumes: the first, rigid and massive, houses the Niches and aims to investigate the relationship between light and person. The second, on the other hand, is a flexible space composed of a core around which we find classrooms and spaces for individual study. On the ground floor there is an exhibition space and a multifunctional room.

The amphitheatre links the presence of every object on the floor, uniting the social and playful dimension with the productive and learning dimension.
